Stephen S. duMont is Vice President of the NATO Business Line at Thales-Raytheon Systems, the joint venture between Raytheon Company and Thales Group.

duMont’s background in the Aerospace and Defense industry includes technology development and program leadership roles in the technology domains of command and control, missile defense, electro-optical and infrared targeting and pilotage systems, and advanced laser systems. Steve has extensive international business experience ranging from airborne mission systems to civil airspace management applications to delivering the industry’s largest Air Command and Control system to control over 10 million square kilometers of NATO airspace.

Prior to his current position, duMont served as the Managing Director of Raytheon’s International Air Traffic Management business within Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems Division. He has also held leadership roles in Raytheon’s Surveillance Radar business. Prior to joining Raytheon duMont has held roles in Flight Test, Systems Engineering, Program Leadership and Business Development with The Boeing Company and BAE Systems.

Before entering the Aerospace and Defense Industry, duMont served in the United States Army as an Attack Helicopter Pilot and Aviation Officer, including overseas assignments in support of combat and contingency operations. Steve is a licensed commercial pilot with both fixed wing and rotorcraft ratings.

duMont’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Biology/Physics from Norwich University Military College, graduate work in bio-medical research at Harvard Medical School, an MBA and Post-MBA from Villanova University.
