Captain Alvaro De Agustin has been a Spanish Navy (SN) officer for almost forty years.

He has spent 15 years underway with two tours as Commanding Officer and another two as Executive officer on board different Spanish Navy vessels.

He also spent 24 years at shore, with three tours assigned to NATO HQ´s. Three years at Naples Maritime command General Staff, as INFO OPS Branch Head, and six years at Norfolk NATO Transformation Command, as C4I Division staff officer first and Branch Head later.

During his career he developed courses about Naval Communications, Tactical C2 Systems, General Staff and finally Senior Staff course.

The last two assignments during active duty were as Commander for the Spanish Navy Operational SW Development Center and Commander for the Spanish Navy C4I Systems Operational Management Center.

Currently, as a reserve officer, he is working for the Spanish company NAVANTIA as a member of the Support Group for the RSNF AVANTE 2200 Corvette Program.
