Vice President, Global Mission Command Systems, Missile Defense and Protective Systems , Northrop Grumman Corporation

Jack Dorsett is the vice president of Global Mission Command Systems for the Missile Defense and Protective Systems division in Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems sector, a leading global provider, manufacturer and integrator of advanced, secure and agile software-defined systems and solutions.

In this role, Jack is responsible for leading the international land command, control, computing, communications and intelligence (C4I), Integrated Air and Missile Defense and Air Command and Control (C2) campaigns and business for the division.

Previously, Jack served as Northrop Grumman’s chief executive for Japan. He was the company’s top executive in country responsible for leading the development of Northrop Grumman within Japan, supporting the company’s current programs, developing strategies for growth, and identifying new business opportunities for the company in Japan.

Jack was previously vice president, command and control systems, within Northrop Grumman's former Information Systems sector and led a portfolio of business pursuits and programs including the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services program, the Air Operations Center 10.2 modernization and the Ship Self-Defense System.

He joined Northrop Grumman in 2011 following a distinguished career in the U.S. Navy, retiring at the rank of vice admiral. During his Navy career, he was deputy chief of Naval Operations for Information Dominance and director of Naval Intelligence, overseeing Navy's intelligence, information technology networks, cyber, electronic warfare and unmanned programs.

Jack was also the resource sponsor for unmanned programs (Triton, Fire Scout and Unmanned Carrier-Launched Surveillance and Strike aircraft) and all Navy command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities. Previously, he was director for Intelligence to the Joint Chiefs of Staff where he oversaw joint intelligence activities during the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.

Jack earned a bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville University, a master’s degree from the Defense Intelligence College and completed executive business programs at Babson College, the University of California (Berkeley), the University of North Carolina and the University of Virginia.
